Hi, I'm jen!

I'm a romance junkie, full-time author, professional snack maid, and Michigan girl who has begrudgingly accepted that experiencing all four seasons in a single day is just part of the deal.

I've been obsessed with reading for as long as I can remember, but writing became my escape long before I ever imagined it could become a career (thank you, childhood trauma). My very first heartbreak happened in my childhood bedroom, when Edward left Bella all alone to "protect her". A couple of years later, I was staying up late writing devastating short stories of my own and posting them online anonymously with absolutely no one I knew having any clue.

After doing the whole boss babe thing and earning my bachelor's degree with a major I completely made up on my own, I quickly discovered that the corporate world wasn't where I was meant to be, and sitting in an all-white cubicle made my creative soul die a little each day. So I traded the office for a laptop, fictional men, and the much more demanding job of keeping my children fed.

I've been writing and publishing independently since 2018, and somewhere along the way, I went from writing stories in my head to building an entire little corner of the internet around them.

I love stories that make you stay up way too late, fall hopelessly in love, and stare at the ceiling when you finally reach one of my unexpected plot twists.

When I'm not writing, you can usually find me reading, working through some random plot hole no one will notice, or chasing around one of my 3 mini besties.

More than just books

Writing the books is my favorite part of this gig, but being an indie author has become so much more than that to me. I love creating experiences around my stories—from signed books and special editions to audiobooks, bonus content, and all the little details that make readers feel like they're stepping further into the worlds I've created.

I'm also passionate about the business of being an indie author. Over the years, I've created dozens of checklists, timelines, templates, marketing resources, and publishing tools to make the process a little less overwhelming. I originally created many of them for my fellow authors, and I'm slowly bringing those resources back in a way that lets me share what I've learned without taking me away from the thing I love most: writing.
